Job Responsibilities:
- DBA having 3-5 years experience supporting DB2/UDB on a Unix platform. The applicant will be required to perform the following functions:
- Object creation - tables, indexes
- Schedule Utilities, including Backup and Recovery, Reorgs and Run stats
- Perform Exports/Imports/Loads of data
- Database Monitoring and Recommending configuration standards
- Scripting Ad-hoc Queries
- Writing Perl/shell scripts
- Writing Stored Procedures
- On-call 24 x 7 Skills as Required
- The applicant should be familiar with Erwin modeling tool
- Logical and physical data modeling including recommending partitioning and indexing
- SQL code reviews and Best Practices
- Database security and integrity
- Some high level programming language
